Technology
The frame of C-LINE sunglasses is composed out of a Swiss material called
Grilamid TR 90. This plastic is produced in Switzerland and has the
following characteristics: extremely robust, durable, shatter-resistant
and light.
Due to the above mentioned characteristics, C-LINE sunglasses are best suited for action-, outdoor- and watersports.
The
rubber temple tip and the soft rubber nose fitting are special features
for a secure and comfortable hold, a perfect ergonomic fit and a good
absorbance of impacts. The Backhead-Strap-System provides an easy,
personalized adjustment and prevents loosing the sunglasses. The
Micro-Air-Channel-System supports the Antifog-Protection-System and
prevents condensation on the lenses. The wrap around shape of the frame
gives maximum sunprotection for the eyes.
The lenses are composed of polycarbonat (PC), a material with a very
high shock resistance. The polycarbonat material filters 100% of UVA
and UVB. C-LINE sunglasses comply with the technical standards of CE
and achieve the category 3 – strong sunlight – in the protection index.
This protection category allows a luminous transmittance of 8% - 18%.
The shape of the lenses allow an almost 180 degree view, which gives a
comfortable feeling in every situation.
Some C-LINE sunglasses are offered with polarized lenses which contain a special filter that blocks the
intensity of the reflected light from several surfaces. Especially the
reflecting characteristics of water can be blocked by the slatted
window blinds construction of polarized glasses. These lenses improve
comfort and visibility and allow an incredible clarity even in the
harshest conditions.
